Grand Canyon Road Trip
It's been awhile since we've been bloggin', but this year we are going to try to share as much as we can. We're photographers and we shoot a lot in the city, but an Aussie and California native, we're bound to get a little wild!
We started this year off with a road trip to the Grand Canyon in the SUV we built out. We thought it would be a great way to see the country without having a giant trailer behind the car. Well boy were we right! It was incredible waking up at sunrise making a pot of coffee overlooking the 5,000 foot drop to the bottom of the canyon. We saw many sunrises and sunsets and had a blast celebrating the new year with locals from Williams, Arizona.
On our way back to Los Angeles, we detoured a bit and drove through Joshua Tree National Park to see more desert and cacti. I can tell you one thing, you do not want to find yourself barefoot near those Jumping Teddy Bear Cholla Cactus! Joshua Tree was beautiful though and we got to see just a glimpse of it before the sun was too far set. Luckily, it's not too far from home so we can do a quick weekend getaway sometime soon, I hope!
Until next time...
